A steel strap to anchor the Andre steering damper. Because these vary so much from bike to bike we have just made the damper end with the tube brazed onto the end of an 8" long strip of metal. You can then bend and drill to suite your bike. 
 
We've just given them a coat of primer to keep the rust out. You will need to paint them properly once you've finished them.
 
Norton dampers where mounted to the tank until about 1934 when they moved it to the frame under the headstock.
